You are invited to participate in an open submission exhibition which
will take place at floating ip this summer. The exhibition will consist
of proposals and documentation of work which demands affirmative action.
The exhibition will open on the 21st June 2004 but submissions will continue
to be accepted until 27th August 2004 (the day the exhibition closes).

Your submission will be displayed on one of a large number of simple wooden
tables and may take any form provided:

- it is a direct response to the injunction, do something.
- it does not include art objects. All submissions must be in the form of
a proposal or documentation (each may involve text, video, photographs,
35mm slide, sound etc). The proposed or documented action/event may include
   art objects.
- it is not a proposal for an exhibition of your own existing work to take
   place at floating ip.

Your submission does not have to be:

- a proposal for an art exhibition, nor an event/action which has anything
specifically to do with art objects or exhibitions.
- carried out (if it is a proposal).

Any work produced is at your own expense, floating ip will not be held responsible for any
costs or consequences of your actions. Correspondence may become part of the exhibition,
though we strongly advise those applying to interpret the theme of the exhibition in their
own way rather than seek any further guidance. Proposals will not be returned at the end
of the exhibition so please do not send master copies of videos, CDs etc. You do not have to be
an artist or an art professional to send a submission. All submissions which meet the above
criteria will be exhibited. floating ip reserves the right to reject submissions which do not
follow the guidelines.
